The West Monitor Barn, home of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, forms the centerpiece for the quintessential Vermont wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or anniversary celebration. Originally built in 1903, the barn was carefully reconstructed with historical accuracy, using 40% of its original timbers. The magnificent post and beam interior lends itself to your imagination; play off of the barn's unique and simple charm, or create a rustically elegant reception by adding your own personal touch.
Our barn's spacious hay mow can hold up to 200 people, and measures approximately 4,100 square feet. We have everything you need -- from a commercial kitchen to optional use of our tables and chairs, and an 80-foot private deck with spectacular views. If you choose to use our our gorgeous meadows as the location for your ceremony, your backdrop will be Vermont's third highest mountain, Camel's Hump.
We would love to host your next celebration. From a quiet candlelit ceremony to the most extravagant wedding of your dreams, the West Monitor Barn sets the scene for a truly memorable event. We offer competitive rates with a twist...event rental fees support the conservation of a magnificent example of our agricultural heritage and the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps' programs for youth and the environment.
